Job summary

Nexus Employment Solutions is seeking a Food Manufacturing QA Technician for a third night shift in the Skokie/Niles, IL area. You will walk the floor to catch issues early, validate changeovers, and pause lines when needed to protect product integrity.

You’ll perform in-process checks, allergen controls, scale verifications, and GMP audits while guiding new QA teammates. On-site, full-time growth awaits in a safety-minded team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework a plus.
• 1+ year QA/QC or operations experience in food manufacturing.
• Comfort with basic math and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food safety, product quality and GMP adherence on the plant floor.
• Perform in-process checks, verify labels, codes, weights and metal detection records.
• Quarantine materials when issues arise and escalate as needed.
• Prepare retains, maintain QA supplies, and document audits.
