Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a caring Float CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Night shift 7:45pm to 8:15am, 3 shifts per week, with flexibility to work at various locations and be reassigned as needed.

The CNA delivers quality, patient-centered care under the direction of a licensed nurse, monitors changes in patient condition, and actively participates in IDG meetings.

Qualifications

• Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License) must be valid.
• CPR certification from Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Six months recent experience in Hospice, Home Health, or acute care preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, mobility) per RN and patient plan of care.
• Educate patient on personal care, positioning, and ADLs as directed.
• Record vital signs (temp, pulse, resp, BP) when ordered and within scope.
• Communicate observations and changes to the RN; report patient comfort needs.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and care planning.
