Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Float CNA for the night shift at our Care Center in Pinellas/Hillsborough counties. The role requires the CNA to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, with schedule: nights on a three-week shift pattern.

Qualified candidates will hold a Florida CNA license, CPR certification, and have the flexibility to work at various locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida CNA license and nursing certification.
• Current CPR certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Six months hospice/home health or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic personal care (bed, shower, oral hygiene, toileting, skin care, ambulation) as directed by the RN.
• Educates patient and family on personal care and activities of daily living per POC.
• Measures and records vitals (temp, pulse, respiration, BP) when ordered within CNA scope.
• Communicates observations to the RN and participates in IDG meetings.
• Assists with positioning and comfort needs of the patient and documents progress.
