Job summary

PepsiCo in Dayville, CT seeks a maintenance technician to maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance on dry storage trailers from multiple manufacturers. You’ll work 11:00pm–7:30am with hands-on repairs and collaboration with seasoned mechanics to keep drivers safe and on the road delivering beloved brands.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• May be required to work weekends/holidays and off shifts.
• Valid driver's license; driving history within past 3 years should be clean.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodation.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel and stretch for extended periods.
• Able to work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Willing to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8–12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles (dry storage trailers) from multiple manufacturers.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Perform maintenance on brakes, bearings, tires, hydraulic pumps/hoses, suspension, electrical, and basic welding/cutting/fabrication.
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders in provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors to obtain estimates for parts or outside labor.
