Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a fleet maintenance technician in Champaign, IL to keep delivery trucks on the road. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and work with experienced mechanics on complex repairs.

As a full-time team member, you’ll lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, and reach in a fast-paced environment with weekend shifts and variable hours. On-the-job training and competitive benefits are provided to support your long-term career at PepsiCo.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• May be required to work on weekends, holidays and off shift.
• Valid D10K Certification.
• Driver's license valid; no moving violations within 3 years.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more with/without accommodation.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel and stretch for extended periods.
• Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Will be required to work on/under trucks for 8–12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
