Job summary

PepsiCo is hiring a fleet mechanic in Bakersfield, CA to maintain and repair our fleet vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance. You will work alongside experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting, returning vehicles to the traffic center when needed and managing parts inventory.

The role requires a CDL for certain duties, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment with on-the-job training and growth

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Non-DOT driverfa s license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks on trucks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnose issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center as needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
