Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company in McCalla, AL is looking for a Technician in Facility/Utilities to manage the operation and maintenance of essential utility systems supporting food production. This role will involve working night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30 and requires a high school diploma along with experience in mechanical/maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/maintenance operations in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to wear Level A suit (SCBA) and conduct tasks in confined spaces.
• Physical capability to lift up to 65 lbs, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain steam boilers, thermal oxidizer, and other utility equipment.
• Monitor system performance and update documentation.
• Conduct safety checks and comply with safety regulations.
