Job summary

1A Auto is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee multi-site facility operations, maintenance, and safety compliance for a large distribution center and business offices. The role includes developing preventive plans and coordinating with contractors to keep facilities compliant and safe.

You will manage equipment maintenance, supervise housekeeping interfaces, and train staff on safe use of warehouse machinery, including forklifts, while ensuring cost-effective facility

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience within facilities, construction, or corporate real estate management, or related project management.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.
• Knowledge of Local and State Codes and Ordinances as well as safety regulations.
• Thorough understanding of building construction and associated trades.
• Experience with operations management of multiple facilities, structures, and buildings.
• Working knowledge of warehouse equipment including conveyor systems, racking, and forklift equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical manuals/drawings, safety rules, operating instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance for warehouse equipment including conveyors, racking, strapping machines, dock doors, and levelers.
• Provide technical resources for maintenance projects and emergencies.
• Coordinate with outsourced services and track repairs.
• Create and follow a preventative maintenance plan and maintenance logs.
• Maintain forklift certification records and safety compliance.
• Keep work areas clean and coordinate with housekeeping and safety teams.
• Oversee safety and compliance meetings and guidance for building operations.
• Develop facility utilization plans and maintenance policies.
