Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will assess, triage, and deliver rapid, high-quality care to patients with urgent conditions, collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Minimum 1 year ED experience, NJ RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6 months. Night shift 7:00 pm–7:30 am; weekends rotate; EHR experience with MediTech is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
• BLS certification required; ACLS / PALS to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year ED/acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments to determine severity and prioritize care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, ensuring safety.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status; document changes and inform team promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and records of care and outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with ED best practices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control.
