Qualifications

• Ability to read, spell, write clearly, calculate and type accurately.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately for ER, out-patients, in-patients, Clinic and Observation.
• Obtain pre-certification information from doctor offices and/or insurance companies.
• Provide excellent customer service with a prompt, friendly registration process.
• Scan documents to patient accounts under correct form name.
• Be the first contact with emergency patients and communicate triage to staff.
• Monitor alarm systems and respond per policy and procedure.
• Page physicians, CRNA’s and emergent pages as needed.
• Route calls to appropriate extensions and manage dismissals.
• Assist with daily census and routine routing functions.
