Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring an emergency department Registered Nurse at the Southdale location in Edina, MN. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in a 44-bed Level 3 Trauma Center, coordinating with physicians, staff, and families to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires 1–2 years of RN ED/ICU experience, MN RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/TNCC/ENCP as applicable, and preference for a BSN. Night shift, 0.75 FTE, with every third weekend rotation and 7pm–7:30am shifts.

Qualifications

• Minnesota RN license required.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• ACLS must be completed before end of orientation.
• TNCC within 12 months post hire.
• ENCP within 12 months post hire if not already held.
• 1–2 years of RN ED/ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health team to develop a nursing plan.
• Create individualized care plans based on age and condition.
• Evaluate care and patient response to interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family and health care team.
• Advance care using standards, guidelines and care pathways.
• Promote evidence-based practice.
