Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. The unit cares for critically ill adults 18+, including open heart and major surgery patients, with 24/7 intensivist coverage.

The role involves assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, collaborating with the health care team, and applying evidence-based practice. Schedule: .75 FTE with 12-hour night shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• MN RN license and current ICU experience.
• BLS certification (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross).
• Experience in adult ICU care and critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health team to develop an integrated care plan.
• Develop individualized plans based on age, condition and needs.
• Evaluate care and patient response to interventions and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patient and care teams to promote partnership-based care.
• Advance care using standards and continuous improvement to improve outcomes.
• Promote evidence-based practice.
