Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is actively hiring a Registered Nurse to join our emergency-capable care team in Clinton, Iowa. This full-time night-shift role features a 3x12-hour schedule with every third weekend and every third holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required
• BSN preferred
• Current or compact RN licensure for Iowa
• BLS required
• ACLS required if telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Basic computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Performs rapid and comprehensive assessments
• Develops and implements emergency care plans
• Delivers timely and effective interventions
• Prepares patients for diagnostic testing or transfer to higher levels of care
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care
• Facilitates communication and coordination
• Demonstrates clinical competence in emergency nursing
• Manages multiple patients and prioritizes care
• Provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance
• Maintains professional standards and regulatory compliance

Education

Associate degree in nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current or compact state RN licensure (Iowa)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if telemetry

Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months

Basic computer skills
