Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide professional care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages. The ED nurse triages and stabilizes patients, prioritizing care based on clinical needs.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, MO RN license, BLS within 90 days and ACLS/PALS within one year of hire. Night shift, 36 hours weekly, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma.
• Triage and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs, and patient flow.
• Stabilize the patient, initiate treatment, and arrange for discharge or transfer as needed.
