Job summary

CoxHealth is hiring an Emergency Department nurse in Springfield, Missouri, for day shift with a 36-hour weekly schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The ED nurse provides initial patient care, triage, stabilization, and discharge planning for patients of all ages, within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required: Missouri RN license and BLS; must obtain ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC within specified timelines. BSN preferred; prior nursing experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
• PALS must be obtained within one year of hire.
• ENPC must be obtained within 12 months of hire; ENPC is required to be Primary RN for emergent pediatric care.
• TNCC must be obtained within 12 months of hire; TNCC is required to be Primary RN in trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.
• Triage and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs and patient flow.
• Stabilizes patients, initiates treatment, and plans discharge or transfer as needed.
