Qualifications

• State of Nevada RN licensure or Interim Permit.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers.
• AHA ACLS for healthcare providers within six months of hire.
• NIHSS within six months of hire.
• CPI within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Carson Tahoe Health policies and unit standards of care.
• Attends 75% of scheduled staff meetings and completes required education.
• Maintains current nursing license and certifications.
• Keeps competencies up to date and seeks additional learning.
• Identifies changes in patient presentation and communicates with the care team.
• Performs bedside handovers according to standards.
• Assumes accountability for care of assigned patients and mentors staff.
• Educates patients and families with basic instructions.
• Develops and updates the patient care plan.
• Responds appropriately in urgent or emergency situations.
