Job summary

Cox Barton County Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department RN to provide essential nursing care during the initial phase of illness or trauma for patients of all ages. You will triage, prioritize, and initiate treatment to stabilize patients in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications include an active MO RN license, BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NRP within specified timelines; a BSN is preferred, with opportunities for certification and career advancement within CoxHealth’s system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• The ED nurse provides professional nursing care during initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.
• Triage and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system.
• Stabilize the patient, initiate treatment, discharge the patient after the emergency is over or make arrangements for a longer hospital stay.
