Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking a registered nurse for our Emergency Department to provide professional care during acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages. The ED nurse triages, prioritizes care, stabilizes patients, initiates treatment, and coordinates discharge or transfer.

Required: Missouri RN license, BLS within 90 days, ACLS, PALS, ENPC within 12 months, and TNCC within 12 months; ENPC for emergent pediatric care.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri
• BLS within 90 days
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• PALS within 1 year of hire
• ENPC within 12 months of hire
• TNCC within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care during acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages
• Triage and prioritize care based on physical, psychological and social needs
• Stabilize patients, initiate treatment, discharge or arrange longer hospital stay
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, safe care
