Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking an Emergency Department nurse to provide professional care for patients experiencing acute illness or trauma. This role involves triaging patients, assessing needs, and stabilizing them as required. Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Missouri, and will possess essential certifications within specified timeframes. Competitive benefits include a sign-on bonus, PTO, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the state of Missouri (required).
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days (required).
• ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire (required).
• PALS must be obtained within one year of hire (required).
• ENPC must be obtained within 12 months of hire (required).
• TNCC must be obtained within 12 months of hire (required).
• NRP certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire and renewed every two years (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.
• Triage and determine priority of care based on patient needs.
• Assess needs, prioritize care, stabilize patients, initiate treatment, and make arrangements for longer hospital stays.
