Job summary

CoxHealth’s Emergency Department in Springfield, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced team. The ED RN triages, assesses, and prioritizes care for patients of all ages, ensuring timely and safe care.

You will work with a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team dedicated to quality outcomes and continuous improvement. Required MO RN license with BLS; ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Active Missouri RN license required.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• PALS within 1 year of hire.
• ENPC within 12 months of hire; ENPC required to be Primary RN for emergent pediatric care.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire; TNCC required to be Primary RN in trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Triages and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Assess needs of each patient and prioritize care based on severity.
• Stabilize the patient, initiate treatment, and discharge or arrange longer hospital stay.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, safe, and compassionate care.
