Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking a skilled field service technician to maintain and repair construction and mining equipment. Responsibilities include hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding, with possible field service on a variety of heavy machines.

You must bring your own journeyman tools; Knife River provides large tools and replacement equipment policy. We require previous mechanical experience on heavy equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Minimum one plus years of mechanical experience on construction/mining equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills required.
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
• Professional and courteous attitude toward team members.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and repair construction and mining equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding
• May perform service repairs in the field
• May work on a wide variety of heavy equipment and large mining machines
• Complete all paperwork as necessary
• Use own journeyman tools; Knife River provides larger tools and replacement policy
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
• Other duties assigned as needed
