Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a skilled diesel/heavy equipment technician to maintain and repair our fleet. You will work on a variety of machines, read manuals, and ensure equipment is safe and reliable for daily operations.

The role requires driving checks, tool use, and strong communication with customers and teammates. Overtime and flexible shifts may be required, with competitive benefits and a robust safety program.

Qualifications

• 2-year post-secondary education in the diesel technician field or related experience a plus.
• Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
• Flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
• CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of equipment to keep it in safe working condition.
• Safely operate equipment and tools on a daily basis.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems to diagnose components and determine repair scope.
