Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic for swing shift in Beaverton, OR. You will maintain and repair construction and mining equipment, work in shop or field environments, and use diagnostic software to troubleshoot powertrains and systems.

Qualified candidates will have prior mechanical experience, own tools, a clean CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, pass background checks, and demonstrate a professional, safety‑minded attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience on construction equipment. Some truck repair experience preferred.
• Must own hand tools. Company provides large and specialty tooling.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical/functional and drug screen.
• Display a professional, safe, and courteous attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair construction and mining equipment.
• Repair hydraulics, electrical, HVAC systems, undercarriage, engine and powertrain components.
• Basic welding ability.
• Work in shop or field environments.
• Use diagnostic software to troubleshoot equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and perform all other duties as assigned.

HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (SWING SHIFT)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintenance and repair ofconstruction and mining equipment
• Hydraulics, electrical, HVAC systems,undercarriage,engine, and powertrain repairs
• Basic welding ability
• Shop or field environment
• Ability to use diagnostic software
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties assigned

Hours: 2:30PM – 11:00PM Monday to Friday,hoursand daysflexible

Wage Range –$26.91-$44.90

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previousmechanical experienceonconstruction equipment.Some truck repair experience preferred
