Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Prior training in institutional cleaning desired.
• Must be able to lift and handle heavy to light loads by pushing or pulling refuse carts and equipment.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate departmental equipment safely and maintain it after use.
• Clean and service hospital areas, move furniture and supplies as needed.
• Wash walls, ceilings, windows, drapes, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Dispose of refuse and maintain cleanliness of waste containers.
• Follow infection control procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Assist with heavy furniture or equipment moves and report any mechanical issues.
