Job summary

UPMC is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional at UPMC Hanover to clean patient rooms, public areas, and offices, ensuring all spaces meet hospital standards. The role requires night shifts (9:30pm-6:00am) with every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities include bed making, area inspection, supply replenishment, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety regulations. Prior experience in housekeeping and customer service is preferred to support a high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds and clean patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and report issues.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain and report issues with equipment to supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
