Job summary

Mount Carmel East is hiring an Emergency Department Technician for a 12-hour night shift (6pm–6:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports patient care across the ED, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and data collection under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include timely patient assistance, equipment setup, and adherence to sterile techniques, with focus on compassionate, holistic care aligned with Mount Carmel's mission.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Successful completion of an approved course including basic patient care skills, EKG, phlebotomy, and BLS.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs promptly.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens.
• Assists with wound care and sterile techniques.
• Performs EKGs and vital signs documentation.
• Reports changes to RN/physician in a timely manner.
