Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, seeks an Emergency Department Technician for the Mount Carmel East ED. This role covers three 12-hour night shifts weekly (6pm–6:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays, providing patient care in alignment with the organization's mission and standards.

You will respond to patient needs, assist with transport, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and data collection while collaborating with RN and physicians to ensure timely care.

Formación

• Education: High school graduate or equivalency.
• Licensure/certification: Successful completion of an approved course including basic patient care skills, EKG phlebotomy, and BLS.
• Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transportation and patient escort.
• Performs visual acuity, eye irrigations and equipment setups.
• Performs phlebotomy and lab specimen collection as ordered.
• Participates in trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation as a team member.
• Performs wound care and sterile technique when appropriate.
• Performs suture and staple removal (excluding facial region).
• Performs foley care and collects specimens.
• Performs EKG and phlebotomy.
• Collects and documents vital signs and other patient data.
• Reports observations and condition changes to RN/physician promptly.
