Job summary

Mount Carmel is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to perform basic patient care under the supervision of an RN. The role supports nursing care, conducts phlebotomy and EKG testing, and contributes to a safe, clean patient environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and preferred health-related training or experience. This is a 12-hour night shift full-time hospital position within the Mount Carmel system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in patient care and/or health-related training preferred.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Conducts EKG tests and phlebotomy as indicated.
• Takes blood glucose measurements and records input/output.
• Assists with activities of daily living and keeps patient areas clean and stocked.
• Reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
