Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients, directing and coordinating care with LPNs and CNAs while aligning with unit policies and patient needs.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license, a nursing degree (bachelor preferred), and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork with patients, families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• RN – State of Florida (valid license).
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred.
• Completion of orientation (general and unit).
• Unit-specific competency checklists completed.
• Professional communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Unit-specific certifications as required by the unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per nursing process.
• Direct, delegate and coordinate care for LPN, CNA, and others.
• Assess patient on admission and monitor status ongoing.
• Document assessment data and plan care with patient in mind.
• Involve family in the plan of care and teach as needed.
• Administer medications according to policies and safety goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
