Montefiore New Rochelle is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts in the Bronx. You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs, while maintaining sterile environments and assisting with routine clinical tasks.

The role requires a PCT credential or nursing assistant certification with BLS, high school diploma, and English proficiency; EMS experience is a plus. Cross coverage may be needed across sites.

Competenze

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Certificate of completion for Patient Care Technician training with competency-based orientation and Basic Life Support.
• Graduate of nursing assistant program or 2 years direct-care care experience; EMS training preferred.

Mansioni

• Take and record vital signs (height, weight, BP, temp).
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs; collect and log specimens.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist in scheduling, appointments and medical record tasks.
• Prepare rooms and manage supplies; stock at par level.
• Assist in clerical duties and in-office procedures.
• Provide patient education and monitor for emergencies.
