NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the Emergency Department Night Shift in Brooklyn. You will assist nurses with patient care, ensure safety, and support the unit’s operations.

You will perform phlebotomy, glucose testing, ECGs, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining compassionate communication with patients and families. Strong teamwork and adherence to core values are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience, or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA) required on entry.

Responsabilités

• Assist the professional nurse with patient care tasks and comfort.
• Support unit safety and supply maintenance.
• Participate in data collection for quality improvement.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, glucose fingersticks, and ECGs as directed.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff.
