Job summary

Parkland Health in Dallas, TX is seeking a RN for Full-time Nights (36 hours/week) in the Emergency Department. The nurse coordinates patient care, performs assessments, and implements plans to ensure safe transitions and prevent delays in care.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active Texas RN license or compact license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within 90 days). Residency completion is preferred; ER experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of Nurse residency is required.
• Active RN license for Texas or compact license; BLS, ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process and act as patient advocate.
• Perform nursing assessments, identify diagnoses, and develop an individualized plan.
• Deliver safe medication administration and IV management per protocol.
• Communicate effectively with patients and health care team, and document care accurately.
• Maintain compliance with Parkland policies and state/federal regulations.
