Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System's Main Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse for full-time day shifts in the Emergency Department. The 36-hour workweek runs 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

with rotating weekends and holidays, located in Dallas, TX. The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates with the care team, and uses the nursing process to develop individualized plans of care. The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN licensure (or compact),

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of nurse residency is required.
• ED experience of 14–18 months in a high-acuity setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care using the nursing process and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Maintains compliance with Parkland policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Performs accurate documentation and timely handoffs to oncoming staff.
• Assesses patient conditions and intervenes appropriately across multiple specialties as needed.
