Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products in Columbus, OH is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to perform PLC work on manufacturing equipment. You will install, program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, while maintaining electrical systems, motors, drives and related control cabinets.

The role requires an associate degree in Electronics with 3+ years of electronics experience, experience with 3-phase 480V systems, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics or equivalent training with 3+ years of electronics experience.
• Experience with blending and extrusion equipment preferred.
• Electrical and Mechanical background; 3 phase, 480v power experience required.
• Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.
• Knowledge of 5S and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, repair and installation.
• Modify advanced PLC logic programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits.
• Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with UI.
• Analyze machinery for PLC automation potential.
• Maintain plant switchgear and equipment records.
• Determine scope of work and seek support when needed.
• Perform mechanical and electrical duties as assigned.
• Comply with software updates, filing and archiving of PLC/PC apps.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
