Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on PLC work, installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of Allen-Bradley PLCs across manufacturing equipment.

The candidate will maintain electrical systems, motor controls, drives, and other power transmission systems, while performing mechanical and electrical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics or equivalent training with 3+ years of practical electronics experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and interpreting ladder logic.
• Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose and respond to equipment breakdowns with minimal supervision.
• Experience with blending and extrusion equipment preferred.
• Electrical and Mechanical background; 3 phase, 480v power experience required.
• Knowledge of 5S and lean principles.
• Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, repair, and installation for manufacturing equipment.
• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and modify ladder logic as needed.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and restore operation.
• Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interfaces.
• Maintain logs and document changes to equipment and processes.
• Comply with safety rules and company policies.
