Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA) in Reno, Nevada, seeks a Technician I to support the Maintenance department on nights. The Maintenance Lead will supervise on-shift teams, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and drive uptime and reliability across the facility.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, an associate degree or equivalent, and strong problem-solving, communication, and blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Sensitivity to customer needs and stringent delivery requirements.
• Available to work weekends and/or overtime as needed.
• Effective communication with all levels of team members, customers, and others.
• Ability to maintain good attendance.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, and lead maintenance teams on shift to perform planned and emergency maintenance.
• Assess hourly personnel training needs and develop skills.
• Monitor online performance to improve uptime and throughput.
• Update Workday daily for shift responsibilities.
• Communicate daily work order status with Planners and Production Supervisors.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and use available resources to fix issues promptly.
• Execute shift plan for planned work orders, PM, training, and capital projects.
• Participate in PM development and maintenance budget with Planners.
• Lead RCA to resolve technical problems in packing, process, warehouse, and utilities.
