Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Akron, OH, seeks a Maintenance Technician for on-site duties. You will troubleshoot production equipment, repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and read complex schematics to diagnose issues.

The role requires PLC troubleshooting with ladder logic reading and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly. The position includes night shifts (12-hour) with a $2.10/hr premium, and applicants should have 3+ years in industrial maintenance and a strong

Qualifications

Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting production equipment, electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and controls.
Ability to read schematics and use standard diagnostic tools.
PLC troubleshooting experience required; PLC programming experience is a plus.
Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond to production equipment issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair and maintain production machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to support troubleshooting and repairs.
Independently troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including PLC I/O diagnostics and reading ladder logic to identify faults.
Perform preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
Identify recurring problems and help develop lasting fixes.
Request parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Follow plant safety procedures and food manufacturing quality practices.
