Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, a leading coil coating company, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician for night shift at our Jackson, MS facility. You will troubleshoot electrical control problems, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment reliability.

Strong PLC knowledge and ability to read blueprints are essential. Responsibilities include installing equipment, coordinating with maintenance staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Journeyman license with 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
• PLC experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance of electrical gear.
• Read manuals, blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance work.
• Install or assist in installing new equipment and layout.
• Lead safety and reliability improvements to reduce downtime.
• Work up to 12-hour night shifts and communicate repair steps and timelines.
