Job summary

Trane Technologies in Trenton, NJ is hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Electronics Technician to support on-site maintenance of complex electrical and control systems. Shift hours are 10:00pm–6:00am, supporting a 5‑day on-site work arrangement.

The role demands hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs, electrical panels, motors, and wiring, with a focus on preventive maintenance, safety, and reliability of plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience performing complex electronics, electrical, computer, and PLC industrial maintenance.
• Competency with Allen-Bradley PLC 5000, PanelView and SLC 500 equipment.
• Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Able to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, megohm meters, oscilloscopes.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all machines and equipment in the facility.
• Perform electrical repairs and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Read and evaluate electrical schematics to repair, maintain, and install equipment.
• Assist employees with repairs and diagnosis of equipment problems.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness per procedures and regulations.
• Troubleshoot motor control centers, high voltage switchgear, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC logic and interfacing with automation systems.
