Job summary

Trinity Health's Mount Carmel New Albany location seeks an Emergency Department Technician for a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays. The role focuses on patient care in a fast-paced ED, supporting RN/physician teams and ensuring timely responses to patient needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic patient care skills with EKG/phlebotomy and BLS certification; prior patient care experience is preferred.

• Basic patient care skills, EKG, phlebotomy, and BLS certifications required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs promptly.
• Assists with transportation and patient escort.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens as ordered.
• Assists with trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation as a team member.
• Performs wound care and sterile technique when needed.
• Documents patient data and reports changes to RN/physician promptly.
