Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for its 40-bed Level III Trauma Center. The ED Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs point-of-care testing, blood draws, and specimen transport.

The position is part-time (.6 FTE) with a mix of 8- and 12-hour day shifts. Requires WA NA-C or NA-R or MA-P licensure, BLS, and prior health care experience; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires one of the following active licensures upon hire: WA State NA-C or WA State NA-R, MA-P.
• BLS for Health Care Providers (BLS) required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• May perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Obtain blood samples and transport specimens for testing.
• Operate hospital equipment and maintain accurate records.
