Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. Night shift 7:15p–7:15a, every 3rd weekend and holiday, provides patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED with EPIC charting and a dedicated Acute Behavioral Health Unit.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will apply evidence-based practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural patient needs in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BSN (preferred).
• Current RN license in Connecticut.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Self-directed in the management of patient care.
• Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care as part of a collaborative ED team.
• Develop and implement care plans using the nursing process to meet patient needs.
• Adhere to the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
