Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Education appropriate for age-specific patients in the emergency center.
• Validate clinical skills and maintain annual competency.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform head-to-toe assessments.
• Assign triage categories based on urgency.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Supervise ER staff and ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate procedures and treatment plans to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians on care plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement.
