Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department on a full-time night shift schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This role provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting while supporting the healthcare needs of the local community.

Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing care, individualized care plans, patient education, advocacy, and coordinating with ancillary departments to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
• Night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and their significant others/families.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs.
• Serve as a patient advocate while delivering compassionate care to individuals with a variety of medical, surgical, and emergency conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries.
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes and a high standard of care.
