Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.

• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Validate clinical skills outlined in the orientation checklist and maintain annual clinical competency.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and triage on arrival.
• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Supervise ERTs and other staff.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop care plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement activities.
