Infor in Marshall, MI seeks a Unit Secretary for the Emergency Department on a casual night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am). The role supports clinicians by handling administrative duties, managing patient information, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and care teams.

The ideal candidate is 18+ with 1 year of related experience or a comparable education mix; completion of Handle with Care de-escalation training within 3 months is required.

Formación

• 18 years of age.
• One year related experience or a commensurate combination of education and experience.
• Completion of Handle with Care Verbal De-escalation training completed within three (3) months of hire and annual re-certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with clinical staff to ensure patient information is gathered.
• Answers phones, makes copies, and maintains office supplies.
• Handles patient inquiries promptly and appropriately.
• Communicates ED patient needs to the department staff.
• Assists providers in reaching on-call specialists and primary care providers.
• Prepares transfer paperwork and communicates transfer needs to receiving facility and EMS agency.
