Job summary

National Beef is seeking a Drum Operator for a rotating night shift schedule in the United States. The role includes drum processing, chemical handling, QA checks, and computer operations, with a focus on maintaining high-quality hides.

It is a safety-sensitive, on-site position with a 3 1/2 day work week and various bonus programs. Starting pay includes $21.60 per hour with additional bonuses such as perfect attendance and night-shift differentials, plus up to $4 per hour in skill-based

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Clean-shaven appearance advised due to respiratory equipment.
• Willing to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends.
• Be able to lift at least 55 pounds.
• Willing to wear PPE and use respiratory equipment.
• Have computing and mathematical skills.
• Ability to distinguish color, color-coded chemical buckets.
• Ability to go up and down stairs.
• Team player.
• Chemical and QA/Lab background is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Drum Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Administration of chemicals and monitoring of drums and process, while maintaining the highest attainable quality of hide.
• Drum Processing

• Computer Operation
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Night Shift Drum Operator position should possess the following:

• Read, write and speak English
• Be clean-shaven is advised for personal safety purposes due to position requiring use of respiratory equipment
• Have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Be willing to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends
• Be able to lift at least 55 pounds
• Be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Have computing and mathematical skills
• Have the ability to distinguish color, color coded buckets for chemicals
• Have the ability to go up and down stairs
• Be a team player
• Chemical and QA/Lab Background is preferred but not required
