Job summary

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team on-site. This 3-day work week with a 4-week rotation offers competitive wages and a supportive environment.

You will monitor quality attributes throughout production and document daily samples, while ensuring PPE compliance and safety. Qualified candidates should read/write English, have 2–5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably tannery/QA), and be able to lift up to 100

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• Two to five years of manufacturing experience in tannery or QA preferred.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Able to lift hides up to 100 lbs.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout production.
• Communicate quality concerns with Production personnel and leadership.
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples.
• Promote and support a safe work environment with PPE compliance.
• Provide departmental coverage as needed and participate in cross-training.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Knowledge of Hide Brand Sortation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Auditor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
• Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
• Provide departmental coverage as needed
• Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
• Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates for the Night Shift Quality Auditor position should have the following skills:

• Must be able to read and write in English
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
