Job summary

Saving Sight in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Family Services & Donation Coordinator for nights. In this role you will handle donor family conversations, review medical charts, and coordinate with funeral homes and hospitals to support the donation process.

You will work a hybrid schedule, 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with rotating weekends and days off. The position emphasizes empathy, strong Microsoft and data-entry skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and active listening; empathetic by nature.
• Strong technical skills including Microsoft software, database management, and phone systems.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience in customer service, social work, insurance claims or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Speak with donor families experiencing grief and guiding them through the donation process.
• Review donor's medical records, complete questionnaires, and communicate with medical staff to determine donor eligibility.
• Coordinate with funeral homes, medical examiner offices, and hospitals to dispatch Recovery Technicians to donor locations.
• Work independently and as a team to make critical decisions and solve problems relating to donation criteria.
