Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in Rochester, NY. This role safely loads and unloads freight on trailers and verifies documentation using electronic and manual systems.

Forklift experience is preferred. Compensation starts at $23.50 per hour ($22.80 base + $0.70 differential) with a raise to $28.35 per hour after 12 months. Start time is 1:00 AM, Tuesday through Saturday, with weekly pay and overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous forklift experience, preferred.
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight and/or logistics preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to ensure safe transport.
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal.
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, weekends and/or holiday work.
• Operating with a customer service first mentality.
